    Dear HMT Friends and Families,

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

    We are looking forward to a great 2016 full of singing, dancing and lots of SPARKLE!!  We are excited to offer 2 new camp programs this year:  JUNIOR CAMPERS and BEHIND-THE-SCENES CAMP as well as our classic CAMPER program and CIT’S.

    We have a great musical planned for this summer…..the kids are going to be excited when they find out the musical title on Day 1!

    SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATIONS begin January 15.
    Please note there is a discounted early bird price UNTIL February 1st.

    **NEW THIS SUMMER!**

    JUNIOR CAMPERS (Kinder – 2nd grade)

    We are excited to invite our young actors to join the excitement of HMT!

    These young actors will get the chance to work with professionals and join the main cast on show day and perform many special features in our show.

    Full costumes for all!

    WHO:  Boys and Girls, Kindergarten – 2nd graders 
    (entering specific grade)
    WHEN:  2 week camps, 1/2 day and Full Day options
    (*Please note that we need a minimum of 15 campers to run this program.
    * Full refund given if we needed to cancel.)

    TIMES: 9am – 12 or 1 – 4 or 9am – 4pm

    CAMP 3: July 4 – July 15

    CAMP 4:  July 18 – July 29

    CAMP 5:   August 1 – August 12

    BEHIND-THE-SCENES CAMP (4th – 8th grade)
    Tech Crew/Art Design/Social Media and more!

    Come explore the world BEHIND-THE-SCENES and be a part of putting on a fully mounted theatrical production.  Everyone will get to work hands-on with our tech staff and artistic designers.  In just 2 weeks we will build set pieces, create costumes, make props, design programs and posters, create photo/video posts and publicity for HMT social media, develop the camp slideshow and much more.  On the last day of camp you’ll be a part of the backstage crew and help with dress rehearsals and show day!  You will even get to take a bow on the stage at the Friday performance!  (The show is the last hour of the last day of camp.)

    WHO:  Boys and Girls, 4th – 8th grade
    WHEN:  2 week camps, 1/2 day and Full Day options

    *Please note the full day option is also available for
    Junior Campers and Behind-The-Scenes campers*

    GET A CHANCE TO BE A PART OF 2 SHOWS……
    Campers will get to perform their role 2 times!

    If your child signs up for the FULL DAY camp option, then they get to be a part of both the morning and afternoon shows on their SHOW DAY!  Your child will get to play their same role in both shows….a great way to build confidence and perfect their roles!
    (Bring a Bag lunch.  Pizza party lunch provided on show days.)

    CAN CAMPERS SIGN UP FOR MORE THAN ONE SESSION?
    Answer:  Yes!  Many campers have enjoyed repeating camp.Per the request of many parents/campers – Campers are welcome to sign up for more than one camp per summer and/or sign up for our FULL DAY OPTION!Please note that we perform the SAME MUSICAL all summer long so signing up for multiple camps is a bonus for perfecting your characters!Each camp brings different opportunities and new experiences!

    For all of the Palo Alto residents – please note: CAMP 1 starts early this year due to the Palo Alto School calendar:  June 6 – June 17.

    LOOKING FOR TEEN LEADERS!

    We offer a unique CIT’s (Counselors-in Training) experience for 9th graders and up.  Come be a part of putting on a musical in just 2 weeks!  This is a great way for teens to get involved with theatre and work on their confidence and leadership skills!  Prior theatre experience is helpful, but not mandatory.  There is also a chance for a performance feature in our show!
